Gerard Leib is a Senior Vice President at American Global, based out of our Pennsylvania office. Gerard is a highly experienced surety and risk professional with a diverse background in the construction business. Gerard is responsible for growing and servicing several of our best-in-class construction clients throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to his role at American Global, he served as Director of Aon’s mid-Atlantic surety practice from 2010 to 2014. While at Aon, Gerard managed surety programs for some of the firm’s largest engineering and construction clients, both domestic and international. From 2009 to 2010, Gerard opened and ran the mid-Atlantic commercial surety operation for Hanover Surety. There he focused on developing strategic relationships with surety clients and agents in the Fortune 1000 space. From 2004 to 2009, he managed roles of increasing responsibility for Chubb Surety, a leader in the construction surety field. In addition to his surety career, Gerard was raised in and currently serves in a strategic advisory role to GEO Electric, Inc., a family owned and operated electrical contracting firm based in Queens, New York. He has served as a Director of the Philadelphia chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association and is actively involved in various local AGC chapters throughout the mid-Atlantic. Gerard is a graduate of Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Economics.
