Jim Merrill is a Senior Vice President at American Global, based out of our New York Office. Prior to joining American Global, Jim was the Managing Director of Star America Capital Advisors, LLC and a founding member in 2008. Jim was instrumental in the corporate development of the firm, as well as serving as an advisor for some of the firms most successful P3, M&A & corporate finance transactions. Prior to Star America, Jim spent 8 years at GE Plastics & GE Capital where he was a graduate from their world-renowned Management Leadership Program, and Six Sigma Black Belt program. Jim is a FINRA series 79, 24, 65, 63 license holder. In his final role with GE Capital, Jim was responsible for providing leverage buyout and commercial financing solutions to the construction Industry. Jim’s experience within the industry has proven to be invaluable for his client and owners in developing unique and innovative financing solutions for P3 projects. Jim is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Management & Information Systems.
