John Martinez is the Surety Senior Vice President of the Texas operations for American Global. In this role, John oversees surety operations of the Texas office as well as opportunities in the surrounding region. John focuses on how to help our clients put the surety pieces in place along with the provision of service-oriented surety placements and solutions for our business partners. John has 14+ years of insurance and surety experience. Prior to joining American Global John worked at a large national brokerage firm, where he specialized in creative placements for vertical construction, horizontal construction, pipeline construction, private equity/LBO and energy transactions (upstream through downstream,) both in the domestic and international marketplaces. John’s experience includes collaborative standard and non-standard market experiences, including collateralized solutions. John holds active CPCU, AFSB, ARM, AU, and CRIS designations. John is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
