David Marino is the President & Chief Operating Officer of American Global, responsible for driving strategic growth and financial performance of its domestic and international operations.
With over 30 years of construction risk management experience, David specializes in guiding construction industry stakeholders with sophisticated risk financing and risk mitigation strategies including captives, self-insurance, and alternative market solutions for large contractors and projects both in the US and abroad.
Throughout his career, David has designed programs for complex infrastructure, including alternative delivery projects (ADP) and public-private partnerships (PPP), advised clients during merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions, developed solutions for controlled insurance programs (CIP), and managed highly complex multi-line insurance claims to satisfactory outcomes. He has held numerous regional and national leadership roles, serving on several construction industry boards, and has been the senior relationship leader for many of ENR’s top contractors.
David is a graduate of St. John’s University (The College of Insurance) with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Insurance and holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. As a published thought leader and speaker, David continues to be influential, bringing industry-leading strategies to construction industry constituents.
David is based in American Global’s New York headquarters.
