Michael Marino
Michael Marino is the founder, Chairman and CEO of American Global, a privately held brokerage formed in 2014, focused solely on the construction industry. In a little over a decade, his leadership has transformed American Global into one of North America's largest and fastest-growing insurance and surety brokerage firms specializing in construction risk management. Michael's strategic vision to grow the firm organically, by investing in top-tier talent, has been instrumental in assembling an exceptional team of more than 200 professionals, operating from more than 16 locations across the U.S., Canada and Europe. Much of that success stems from his commitment to create a uniquely flat corporate structure where collaboration drives innovation that leads to collective success. At American Global, there are no boundaries-regional, financial or otherwise. One team. One focus. One goal. Michael began his career at Chubb before joining Allied North America. Following Aon's acquisition of Allied, Michael was named Surety Director for Aon’s Southeast Operation in Miami, where he led the development of innovative surety programs for large international contractors. Proficient in English and Spanish (and conversational in Italian), Michael engages seamlessly with a diverse, global client base. Michael is a proud member of many industry-related associations, including The Moles and The Beavers, two of the construction industry's most respected professional organizations. Michael is also involved in many philanthropic efforts, serving as a member of the fundraising golf committees for both Island Harvest and Eva’s Village, and supporting educational initiatives through his involvement with the Long Island Children’s Museum (LICM). David Marino
David Marino is the Group President & Chief Operating Officer of American Global, responsible for driving strategic growth and financial performance of its domestic and international insurance brokerage operations. With over 30 years of construction risk management experience, David specializes in guiding construction industry stakeholders with sophisticated risk financing and risk mitigation strategies including captives, self-insurance, and alternative market solutions for large contractors and projects both in the US and abroad. Throughout his career, David has designed programs for complex infrastructure, including alternative delivery projects and public-private partnerships, advised clients during merger and acquisition transactions, developed solutions for controlled insurance programs, and managed highly complex multi-line insurance claims to satisfactory outcomes. He has held numerous regional and national leadership roles, and has been the senior leader for many of ENR’s top contractors. David is a member of the Board of Governors of the New York Building Foundation/New York Building Congress, and also serves as a board member for ACE National. In 2025, David was named a ‘Trailblazer in Construction’ by City & State, a list of prominent experts and innovators in New York's construction industry.
David is a graduate of St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Business Degree in Insurance and holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, as well as a Property and Casualty Broker’s license.

David Hall
David Hall is Chief Financial Officer of American Global, based in our Jericho, New York headquarters. As a proven and effective leader, David brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in a variety of operational, strategic, and financial capacities. With more than a decade of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, he has developed core competencies in budget & forecast management, business intelligence & KPIs, compliance & audit, and process optimization, among others. As CFO, David helps guide American Global’s financial strategy while overseeing the company’s financial administration and planning, including financial policy development, management of accounting systems, budget planning, risk management, insurance, purchasing, taxation, forecasting, and strategic planning. He also manages fiduciary funds, ensuring the accurate and efficient flow of premiums from clients to insurance carrier partners. David will also prepare capital budgets, balance sheets and P&L statements for American Global and all related entities. Prior to joining American Global, David spent the majority of his career at a large publicly traded broker, serving as a financial analyst, strategist and most recently, global finance leader.
David holds a Master of Business Administration Degree specializing in Finance, from Dalhousie University, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honors in Economics, from Mount Allison University.

Torre Taylor Dos Santos
Torre Taylor Dos Santos is the Director of Talent and Culture at American Global. Torre began with American Global when it was founded in 2014 and assisted in growing the company’s operations and administration. She leads internal and external branding for the company, works to improve processes and procedures, and leads long-term organizational planning within American Global. Torre also guides and manages the overall provision of the company's Human Resources services, policies, and programs. Torre holds a Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification and is a licensed Florida General Lines agent. Torre is a graduate of Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management & Marketing, and holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Florida International University.

Will Griffin
William Griffin is the President of the Florida operation. He is a passionate leader and trusted business partner responsible for driving strategy, delivering results, and ensuring the long-term success of American Global clients.
Will was one of American Global’s first employees and has played an integral role in developing and expanding its platform. He has focused on cultivating essential market relationships and building a local team of dynamic professionals. Before joining the American Global team, Will worked for a global brokerage firm, where he helped increase the local construction book by 200% in three years.
Will is currently an active member of several construction associations, serves as a board member of the CFMA of South Florida, and acts as Associate General for the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County. Will is a graduate of Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts, Liberal Arts, and Sciences Degree.

Kevin Walsh
Kevin Walsh joined American Global in 2014 during the firm’s formative years as a principal and key member of its leadership team. He serves as President of the New Jersey office and oversees Pennsylvania operations which, together, support clients across the Mid-Atlantic region and Metro-New York. With more than 20 years’ experience in the surety, construction insurance, and risk management industry, Kevin’s primary focus is partnering with clients to deliver strategic, innovative solutions that support long-term growth and stability. He is widely regarded as an industry leader and has been instrumental in building a highly experienced team of construction and surety professionals with diverse backgrounds to better serve clients and carrier partners. Throughout his career, Kevin has managed large, complex surety bond programs and brings deep expertise in co-surety structures, shared accounts, reverse flow arrangements, and private equity placements. In collaboration with American Global’s product line specialists, he also serves as a trusted advisor to clients on subcontractor default insurance (SDI), corporate programs, and wrap-up solutions. Kevin began his career at Chubb Surety in 2005 and later spent several years with a global brokerage firm, working with some of the most prominent general contractors, construction managers, engineering firms, heavy civil, and specialty trade contractors in the region. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business and is involved with numerous industry associations. Jennifer Westmoreland
Jennifer Westmoreland is the President of American Global’s Georgia and Carolinas regions operations. Jennifer has distinguished herself in the southeast insurance market as a results-oriented construction professional and has brought valuable insights and work ethic to her clients and projects. Jennifer has built a team of highly talented construction insurance and surety individuals that are focused on overall risk management strategies for clients. Jennifer joined American Global from Zurich North America, where she spent 12 years and held various underwriting leadership positions. She built strong broker and client relationships and was responsible for the Zurich Atlanta, Orlando and Charlotte teams and clients. As the Business Execution Lead, she helped develop, manage, and implement operational and strategic priorities for the national Construction team, as well as develop enhanced solutions to meet client needs.

Joe Aulbert is President of American Global’s Texas office, where he leads the firm’s strategic growth and client service initiatives throughout the region. Based in Houston, Joe will focus on the continued expansion of American Global’s presence across Texas while strengthening relationships with clients, carrier partners, and industry professionals. Working with colleagues across the firm, he will help drive innovation to deliver customized risk management and insurance solutions that support the evolving needs of the construction industry.
Prior to joining American Global, Joe built a distinguished career in construction performance security, strategic risk management, and client advisory services. Throughout his career, he advised contractors, developers, and project stakeholders on complex surety and insurance matters, helping clients navigate evolving risks while supporting long-term business growth. Joe has earned a reputation for building trusted relationships and delivering practical, result-driven solutions tailored to the construction industry.

Nick Bokios
At American Global, Nick will be leading our Illinois team, which is based in Chicago. Nick has distinguished himself in the Midwest surety market as a results-oriented and collaborative professional who brings solutions to his clients and team members he supports. Nick’s leadership and industry experience will take our presence and capabilities in the Midwest to the next level. Prior to joining the American Global team, Nick held the position of Vice President and Sr Contract Underwriting Officer overseeing the Midwest region for Liberty Mutual Surety. In this position, Nick provided strong leadership and in-depth analysis to clients and the underwriting team while leading the strategy on some of the most complex surety accounts. Nick currently holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Nick graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and from Colorado State University with his Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Anastasia Fleckser
Anastasia (“Annie”) Fleckser is President of American Global’s Pennsylvania operations, located outside Philadelphia. Annie is responsible for leading our experienced Berwyn-based team while expanding the firm’s capabilities and presence across Pennsylvania and throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining American Global, Annie served as Senior Vice President of Chubb Major Accounts, where she managed the strategic direction and growth of their Primary Construction portfolio. Prior to her role as SVP, she also held other leadership roles within the firm, including construction industry practice leader. Previously, Annie began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) as an associate in the insurance and banking assurance practice. Annie is a graduate of Emory University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting.

Christine Philips
Christine Philips is the President of American Global’s California operation, spearheading the firm’s strategic growth and service initiatives throughout the region. Based in Los Angeles, Christine is focused on expanding our presence and partnerships in California, while strengthening relationships with existing clients and industry colleagues in the area. She works collaboratively with her American Global colleagues to drive innovation and create custom tailored solutions for the construction industry.
With more than 25 years' of diverse insurance and risk management experience, Christine has deep roots in both brokerage and in-house corporate risk roles. Before joining American Global , she served as Vice President of the national casualty practice at a California brokerage, where she led strategic insurance initiatives, managed complex program structures, and collaborated with actuarial, claims, and loss control teams to deliver client value. Previously, Christine spent nearly eight years at Bernards Bros Inc., a premier general contractor, where she built and led the internal Risk Management department. As Senior Director, she managed corporate insurance programs, claims, risk financing, contractual risk transfer, and captive management—all while working cross-functionally with senior leadership and project teams to safeguard operations and optimize insurance strategies.
Christine holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from California State University, Northridge. She is a licensed Property, Casualty, Life and Health Insurance Broker/Agent and previously held the Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation. John McGill
John McGill leads American Global Project Solutions, a national project risk practice that provides contractor and owner/developer clients and prospects with project risk consulting, placement, and management services. Through thoughtful coordination of insurance program design, placement, administration, claims, and loss control resources and expertise, John’s team seeks to develop the best possible solution for our clients and their projects. John has 20 years of construction risk management experience, focused on Owner and Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs and developing solutions for clients in a challenging construction casualty market. He specializes in both contractor practice programs and project risk program design, placement, and servicing for local and national contractors and developers. John’s project risk specialization includes casualty, builders’ risk, pollution, and professional and surety, with particular expertise in the New York construction market. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College’s Carrol School of Management and is a Licensed Property and Casualty Broker.

Kent Peters is President of American Global’s newly established Canadian operation. As a proven leader and former executive within the Construction and Industry specialty practice, Kent brings more than 34 years’ experience in surety, performance security and credit products. At American Global, Kent is responsible for expanding our North American presence, ensuring that American Global clients have the best access to markets, advice and services throughout Canada. Prior to joining American Global, Kent served as Senior Vice President & National Director for Strategic Security at Aon Risk Services, the largest surety broker in Canada, where he created innovative performance security products for the growing P3 space in Canada and was instrumental in the promotion and acceptance of surety bonds, in place of letters of credit. Previously, Kent also worked in a variety of roles for Export Development Canada (EDC). Kent is a graduate of the University of Alberta.

Damien Kolosky
Damien Kolosky is President of International for American Global. As a seasoned executive, Damien brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across design and construction, infrastructure development and investment, and sophisticated risk environments. Damien is key member of the organization’s executive leadership team. As President, he will help shape the strategic vision for the firm’s global expansion while overseeing international teams and partnerships; in support of multinational clients, contractors and developers who operate across complex markets. He leads American Global’s international growth and oversees operations in Rome, which services clients across Europe.
Prior to joining American Global, Damien held senior executive roles within top-tier international construction organizations as well as infrastructure investment firms and asset managers, where he led origination and development activities, overseeing large-scale infrastructure initiatives across multiple jurisdictions. In these roles, he was responsible for driving strategic growth, managing institutional and public-sector partnerships, and navigating the regulatory, financial, and operational complexities associated with major infrastructure projects.
Damien also brings deep industry expertise from his two decades at Bouygues Construction, one of the world’s leading construction groups. There, he held senior positions across Asia and Latin America and ultimately served as Managing Director in North America and a member of the international executive committee.

Ricardo Davila
Ricardo Davila is Senior Vice President of the International team, based out of our Miami, FL office. Ricardo provides valuable insight and facilitates strategic solutions for clients who are navigating the complexities of cross-border operations and international projects. Ricardo is a Civil Engineer with 18+ years of experience in the construction industry focused in international and large projects experience. Ricardo has participated in the development and construction of multi-million-dollar public-private partnership (PPP) projects and in the construction of major infrastructure projects in different countries including but not limited to Spain, Colombia, South Africa, Ireland, and the United States. Prior to joining American Global, Ricardo worked as Business Development Manager in the United States and in Colombia for Dragados S.A. His work included responsibilities in the development and implementation of the country/area’s strategies; establishment of the brand, coordination and permanent follow up of relations with public sector administrators; management of proposal/tender teams to develop project controls and budgets; reviews and negotiations of contracts with public administrations; definition of construction means and methods; coordination and integration of engineering disciplines during tender process and an overall management of the pre-construction services. Ricardo is a graduate of the Colombian School of Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and holds a Master’s in Construction Economy and Specialty from the Polytechnic University in Valencia, Spain. Prior to joining American Global, Mike experienced a nearly 20+ year career with Marsh, where he served as the US Construction Casualty Placement Leader, overseeing a team of highly technical and experienced placement brokers responsible for the marketing, negotiating, and placement of highly complex primary and excess casualty insurance programs for construction related clients. Mike is a graduate of Concordia College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Iona College.

Kristen Weber is Vice President and Head of Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) for American Global. Kristen serves as the strategic lead for American Global’s growing SDI practice, supporting the firm’s continued expansion and notable momentum in the SDI space. Based out of the Dallas, Texas office, Kristen leverages her expertise in underwriting strategy, risk management, insurance program design, and claims resolution, to provide value add for our clients, while increasing the overall level of SDI support and service.
As a former underwriting officer and risk manager, Kristen brings more than 20 years’ experience and a deep understanding of both the SDI market and the construction industry. Prior to joining American Global, Kristen spent four years as an SDI Underwriting Officer for Liberty Mutual Insurance, where she directed underwriting strategy and portfolio management, designing tailored SDI solutions for best-in-class general contractors. Previously, Kristen spent more than a dozen years as a construction risk manager for two contractors and a construction management firm, following an early career rooted in finance and risk management. Kristen brings passion, experience and enthusiasm to her role and is eager to share her insights with colleagues, partners and clients alike, continually seeking to contribute to our shared success.

Krystal Stravato
Krystal Stravato is the Surety Operations Leader of American Global. In this role, Krystal oversees the client fulfillment and operations of the Surety Division. Krystal has earned an excellent reputation in the industry with clients and in major surety markets. Krystal joined American Global with 20+ years of experience in the surety industry. She began her career with Selective Insurance Group in 1998. After five years on the carrier side of the business, Krystal went on to work for two New Jersey-based national brokerage firms, where she managed the surety programs for contractors throughout the Northeast. Krystal quickly developed a passion for the construction and surety business and built strong relationships with her clients and underwriters. In 2011, she accepted a position working with Marsh USA as a Surety Bond Specialist. While at Marsh, she handled the surety needs for some of the firm’s most highly regarded accounts, ranging from middle-market contractors to Fortune 500 publicly traded companies. Krystal has experience and expertise working with both domestic and international accounts. Krystal is a graduate of Penn State University.

Anthony Terranova
Anthony Terranova, Esq. is the North American claims leader at American Global. As Head of Claims, Anthony leverages his knowledge and expertise to drive strategy and oversee operations of the entire department. In addition to supporting our team of dedicated technical claims advocates, Anthony is responsible for maintaining client satisfaction, managing high-cost and complex construction claims throughout North America. Working cross-functionally with our technology team, Anthony will also spearhead initiatives that utilize technology and advanced analytics to optimize claims systems and reporting processes, with a special focus on providing actionable insights to deliver a superior claims experience.
Anthony possesses nearly two decades of experience in legal practice and complex claims management across both the insurance and construction sectors. Prior to joining American Global, he served as Head of Commercial Casualty Claims – North America, at an international insurer/reinsurance firm, where he led claims strategy for Construction and other specialty business units. Previously, he held key leadership roles at two commercial insurance carriers and worked in private practice, representing high profile clients in litigation related to construction defect, NY Labor Law and professional liability matters.
Anthony earned a Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and several federal courts across the Northeast. Anthony also holds casualty adjuster licenses in multiple states and earned recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in the Construction category. He is a frequent speaker at national claims and risk management conferences, where he shares insights on claims strategy, legal trends, and industry innovation. Anthony is based out of our Whippany, New Jersey, office.

Luigi Senis is the Managing Director of American Global’s Italian operations. Luigi joined American Global from Condotte D’Acqua Spa, where he was the Group Risk and Insurance Director. Luigi has participated in providing coverage for Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects and large infrastructure projects around the world. Luigi will be bringing his extensive experience in construction risk management and multinational programs to lead the team in Italy.
Luigi has a finance academic background and has spent the last 15 years in the construction industry, focusing on the insurance requirements for local and international projects. Luigi has participated in providing coverage to multi-million-dollar public-private partnership (PPP) projects and major infrastructure projects around the world.

Robert Labbe
Robert Labbe is a Vice President - Risk Engineering Specialist at American Global, based out of our New Jersey office. Rob has over 20+ years of experience managing construction projects with the focus areas of Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Through his leadership, Rob helps guide American Global clients to develop best practices for health and safety programs while following through on their execution in the field. Rob’s first-hand construction industry experience, coupled with the perspective gained from his insurance carrier responsibilities, makes him an effective and successful leader at American Global. Prior to American Global, Rob was a Senior Risk Engineering Consultant for Zurich North America’s Construction Division. In that role, he was responsible for providing risk engineering services to construction industry stakeholders to reduce losses and increase productivity at both the project and corporate levels. He facilitated the integration of underwriting, engineering, and claims services to support positive client outcomes. Prior to Zurich, Rob worked for several national and global construction companies in operational roles (Field Engineer, Project Engineer, Superintendent, Project Manager, etc.) with increasing responsibilities. Rob is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management.

Nancy Rogge
Nancy Rogge is Senior Vice President of Learning & Technology at American Global. Nancy currently leads all of American Global’s training & development efforts, supporting continual learning of both employees and clients. She also oversees all new technology initiatives while managing current operating systems. Nancy also has extensive experience placing and managing the insurance programs for commercial contractors. Throughout her career, Nancy served as the primary client contact for her accounts, and she is known for her dedication to her clients. She is a proven leader, managing the workflow of team members for efficiency and superior customer service. She has extensive experience with guaranteed cost, loss sensitive, project-specific, and subcontractor default insurance products. Nancy consistently achieves excellent client satisfaction through unmatched service and a deep understanding of the insurance marketplace and coverages. Nancy began her career in insurance in 2007 at Allied North America. She is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree and completed graduate studies at Georgia State University in learning and development. Sydney Byrne is Vice President and Project Risk Advisor with American Global’s Project Solutions practice, based in the Dallas area. As Project Risk Advisor, Sydney develops thoughtful and valuable risk management programs for our contractor and developer client projects. With her extensive background in the design and execution of Controlled Insurance Programs, Sydney supports clients throughout the construction process, from concept to execution, and beyond. Prior to joining American Global, Sydney worked at Aon Risk Insurance Services, as well as Marsh & McLennan Companies in Texas, as a Wrap-up Program Manager and Administrator.
Sydney is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and has an OIL Technical Accreditation as well as a General Lines Agent, Property and Casualty License, and Risk Manager License in Texas. Chris Greene is Vice President of Innovation & Insights for American Global and a forward-thinking construction insurance expert with years of experience and in-depth knowledge of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI). His passion for technology is matched only by his desire to develop and implement groundbreaking strategies. Chris’ expertise in data and analytics enhances American Global’s ability to deliver powerful insights for our clients, while seeking to leverage the digitization of the built world to reduce the total cost of risk in the construction and ownership of assets. As an advocate for the adoption of IoT (Internet of Things) and AI in construction insurance, Chris helps American Global to continue revolutionizing the role of the broker as we shape a safer, smarter and more efficient future for the sector. Prior to joining American Global, Chris served as Vice President of Strategy, Analytics & Knowledge – Construction & Infrastructure at NFP and previously worked at Aon for more than eight years, where he led Aon's North American Construction & Infrastructure Data & Analytics team. Chris currently serves on the Ontario General Contractors’ Innovation Committee. Michael Wanko
Michael Wanko joined American Global in 2016 with over 28+ years of experience in the insurance industry. Mike supports our company-wide claims operations with a specialization in New York labor law. Mike was the primary investigator for a billion-dollar contractor and the primary New York Labor Law trial monitor for several insurance companies. Michele Simpson is a Senior Vice President of Claims, where she is responsible for providing claim management, advocacy & consultation to American Global insurance clients. Michele is an accomplished multi-line claim professional with more than 30+ years of industry experience working for major insurance carriers and has been with American Global since 2018. Prior to joining American Global, she began her career as a claim customer service manager with Aetna, then transitioned into technical claim handling, where she held positions of increasing authority with Aetna, Travelers, Zurich, and Liberty Mutual. Michele was an Assistant Vice President with Liberty International Underwriters, a Liberty Mutual business unit, where she managed both technical and administrative staff responsible for the handling of multi-line claims in all (50) states, eastern Canada, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. Caryn Maxfield serves as a key member of American Global’s Infrastructure Team, leveraging her experience and expertise to support our clients as their risk and insurance advisor on P3 and Alternative Project Delivery pursuits. As an experienced attorney and former construction company executive with 17 years in the construction and surety industries, with extensive experience in alternative project delivery, Caryn also provides assistance and strategic guidance to American Global clients related to complex project pursuits, partner and subcontractor relationships, risk transfer and mitigation strategies, as well as developing solutions to clients’ disputes and project issues.
Before joining American Global, Caryn spent over nine years at The Walsh Group where she served as Vice President of Strategic Projects, leading the transactional legal team. Caryn and her team were responsible for all alternative project delivery pursuits, as well as the analysis, underwriting and negotiation of complex construction and development contracts, including public-private partnerships, and various related partnership agreements, major subcontracts and design agreements.
Caryn’s experience in the construction industry began with Liberty Mutual Surety as Senior Surety Counsel in the Chicago office, handling surety claims. Caryn also brings years of commercial litigation experience gained at two prominent law firms in New York and Chicago, focusing on contracts, business and insurance law. Ed’s expertise includes surety and other forms of performance security on projects, including significant experience with alternative project delivery methods, including public-private partnerships (P3) and other large design-build procurements. Prior to joining American Global, Ed was a Senior Vice President and surety leader with the Construction Group of a large global broker. Ed began his surety career with Chubb and, over the next twenty years, spent time in various surety underwriting and legal roles, most recently as their Vice President and Regional Surety Manager and, prior to that, as their first Surety General Counsel. In her role with TRG, Michelle leads a team dedicated to delivering the highest level of client advocacy. Gerard Leib is a Senior Vice President at American Global, based out of our Pennsylvania office. Gerard is a highly experienced surety and risk professional with a diverse background in the construction business. Gerard is responsible for growing and servicing several of our best-in-class construction clients throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to his role at American Global, he served as Director of Aon’s mid-Atlantic surety practice from 2010 to 2014. While at Aon, Gerard managed surety programs for some of the firm’s largest engineering and construction clients, both domestic and international. From 2009 to 2010, Gerard opened and ran the mid-Atlantic commercial surety operation for Hanover Surety. There, he focused on developing strategic relationships with surety clients and agents in the Fortune 1000 space. From 2004 to 2009, he managed roles of increasing responsibility for Chubb Surety, a leader in the construction surety field. In addition to his surety career, Gerard was raised in and currently serves in a strategic advisory role to GEO Electric, Inc., a family-owned and operated electrical contracting firm based in Queens, New York. Greg has 20+ years of industry, sales, and risk management book management experience. He spent 14 years honing his career as a P&C and A&H insurance professional at Zurich Insurance Group, providing insurance solutions and building relationships with customers. Greg’s construction risk management career started in 2007, underwriting and marketing Zurich’s proprietary Subguard®. As the market lead in the Southeast region, Greg provided subcontractor risk solutions to general contractors throughout the broader region. He also helped manage the construction underwriting operation for the southern United States, while serving in several leadership roles within the Construction and Commercial insurance unit at large. Her vast knowledge and strong communication skills make her an outstanding Account Executive, as she helps clients evaluate their surety needs and develop successful programs and strategies to meet or exceed their objectives. Elias Sawan is an attorney and Senior Vice President of American Global Canada where he is helping lead the expansion of our Canadian presence in the province of Québec. With an extensive background in engineering and construction contracts and claims, Elias brings valuable knowledge and legal expertise to the team, as well as useful language skills (French, English, and Arabic) which will add value for clients across Canada. Prior to joining American Global, Elias served as Eastern Canada’s Regional Director for the legal department of a top-tier global engineering and consultancy firm, where he concentrated in contract drafting, analysis, and negotiation for both public and private clients in infrastructure, mining, renewable energy, as well as oil and gas projects. His deep understanding of legal issues and local requirements make him an important technical resource and Elias’ strong claims management background will provide further advantages. Previously, Elias collaborated with project stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks throughout a project’s lifespan, from the issuance of a request for proposals until the acceptance of the project by the owner. Nitsel Mendez is a Senior Vice President and key member of American Global’s national broking team. Based in Houston, Texas, Nitsel offers more than 25 years’ experience in risk management and property & casualty insurance and her primary focus at American Global is large and complex loss sensitive casualty programs, including the umbrella/excess programs that sit above them. Nitsel evaluates appropriate deductible levels and the associated collateral required to securitize those deductibles. Additionally, she serves as a liaison to third party actuarial and captive partners, as required, in support of loss sensitive casualty programs. Nitsel utilizes her technical capabilities to review terms and conditions and leverages her market relationships in the negotiation process. Prior to joining American Global, Nitsel spent18 years at a large international broker building an impressive career, earning multiple promotions that led to her final role as Unit Manager, Account Executive and Senior Vice President. She began honing her skills at another global brokerage where she spent seven years working her way up to the position of Renewal Support Specialist. Nitsel’s knowledge now spans a wide range of industries including construction, transportation and energy, among others. Nitsel earned a B.B.A in Finance at Texas State University and holds multiple licenses and professional designations, including: Property & Casualty License (Texas), CPCU Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management(ARM), Associate in Underwriting (AU), Associate in Insurance Services(AIS), and Associate in General Insurance(AINS).

Tracy McLean is a Senior Vice President of American Global’s Canadian surety team, based out of our Ontario office. Bringing vast knowledge and more than 30 years' experience in insurance and surety, Tracy is an innovative force and strategic leader who helps clients navigate the complexities of US/CAN cross border business transactions in an ever-changing global marketplace. Specializing in alternative business strategies, Tracy utilizes critical thinking and data analysis to help clients improve efficiencies and best practices while addressing liability exposures. Tracy's strong relationship with many trade associations, together with her deep understanding of local and federal governments and regulatory requirements, makes her a trusted advisor and valuable asset. Prior to joining American Global Tracy held executive positions at some of Canada‘s leading national and regional brokerage firms. Tracy is a past president of RIBO as well as the Toronto Insurance Conference and is a former chair of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada. Tracy has a Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation and is licensed as a broker in Ontario (RIBO), Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Colombia. Tracy also studied Business, Travel and Tourism at Seneca College in Toronto.

Andrea Rusche is a Managing Director at American Global, specializing in complex construction risks, large accounts, project-specific insurance programs, captives, and alternative risk financing. She leads the firm’s Texas insurance operations and North Texas growth strategy while serving nationally as Practice Leader for Captive Insurance and Alternative Risk Transfer.
With experience spanning claims, large-account construction underwriting, brokerage, and executive leadership, Andrea brings a comprehensive perspective to risk. She works with contractors and project stakeholders to evaluate complex exposures and structure traditional, loss-sensitive, captive, and project-specific insurance solutions aligned with their operations and long-term objectives.
Most recently, Andrea led the development and successful launch of a group captive program for best-in-class general contractors, guiding the initiative from concept and program design through market negotiations, member evaluation, and implementation. Her technical expertise, market knowledge, and strategic approach help clients navigate challenging insurance environments and build sustainable risk-financing programs.
Andrea studied Business Administration at Southern New Hampshire University is a certified All Lines Claims Adjuster.

Paul Messenger is the President of our Texas operations. Paul leads a team of innovative and technical construction surety and insurance professionals dedicated to delivering best-in-class service and solutions to our clients. Paul has 20 + years of construction risk management experience, helping clients with their most challenging insurance and risk management issues. With a focus on identifying contractors’ total cost of risk, Paul works tirelessly to help his clients reduce their cost of risk, putting more to the bottom line. Prior to joining American Global, Paul previously held leadership positions at large international brokerage firms. Other areas of expertise include risk financing, contractual risk transfer, controlled insurance programs, and subcontractor default insurance. Paul is active in several industry trade organizations and was on the board of directors for the Associated General Contractors of America from 2017-2018. Paul is a graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in finance.

Katie Wright is the Senior Vice President of Career Development at American Global, where she guides new and current employees in their career paths, while implementing best practices and programs for these roles. Katie drives strategy within American Global operations as we continue to bring on new hires around the globe. Katie spearheaded the implementation of our employee mentorship and internship program to continue to attract top talent to our agency. Previously Katie was the President of our Georgia operations where she was a solutions provider focused on designing, negotiating, and servicing contractors with their risk management needs. Katie distinguished herself in the Georgia market with her innovative skills and her commitment to placing clients’ needs above all else including expert advice on contractual risk transfer, coverage analysis, experience modification review, deductible analysis, and collateral negotiations. Katie began her career in 2000 at Allied North America and developed into a reliable leader within the insurance community. Katie is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management. Katie also holds a Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation and a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) License.

Lynn Barker
Lynn Barker is Director of Communications for American Global, based in their New York headquarters. As a seasoned marketing and communications professional, Lynn brings more than 30 years' experience developing successful marketing campaigns and communication programs. Leveraging her expertise in corporate rebranding, event management and content creation, Lynn drives overall marketing communications and media strategy for American Global while implementing new processes and programs to improve internal efficiency and enhance external visibility. Prior to joining American Global, Lynn served as Director of Marketing, Research & Analytics for the Long Island Contractors' Association (LICA) for more than seven years and previously managed her own marketing firm for nearly 20 years.
Lynn holds an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and is a NYS Notary Public. Lynn also earned her NYS Property & Casualty Brokers License in 2024.

Mike Destiche
Mike Destiche is Senior Vice President of Surety at American Global’s California office, where he works closely with contractors, developers, and construction industry clients to develop strategic surety solutions that support long-term growth and business objectives. Leveraging more than three decades of construction surety experience, Mike advises clients on complex bonding and risk management matters, partnering with colleagues across the firm to strengthen relationships with carrier partners and expand American Global's surety capabilities throughout California.
Prior to joining American Global, Mike enjoyed a 30-year career with Chubb and its corporate predecessors, advancing through a series of underwriting and leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Pacific Region Construction Surety Manager, overseeing construction surety operations across the Western United States. During his career, Mike developed extensive expertise in construction surety underwriting, client advisory services, business development, and strategic relationship management. He advised clients ranging from regional construction firms to some of North America's largest contractors, helping them navigate complex surety needs while supporting their long-term business objectives.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Fullerton. He also completed several professional development programs through Chubb, including the Chubb Leadership Development Seminar and the Chubb Business School Program.
