American Global News

May 8, 2024

Since its inception, American Global has gained a reputation for excellence, always exceeding expectations. Therefore, it was no surprise that the 10-year anniversary celebration would also deliver on that commitment.

Poised on a rooftop high above the New York City skyline, more than 450 American Global colleagues, clients and market partners came together to celebrate the momentous occasion. It was ten years ago, to the day, that American Global was officially launched by a trio of ambitious young colleagues. On May 2, 2014, Ricardo Davila (now Head of International) and Will Griffin (President – Florida), led by Chaiman & CEO Michael Marino, set out to revolutionize the role of broker and build a different kind of brokerage, ‘one colleague at a time, one client at a time.’ Armed with little else other than their experience, optimism and determination, they succeeded in their mission. Today, American Global is one of the largest and fastest growing privately held insurance and surety brokerage firms in North America dedicated to construction risk management.

The event was not only a celebration of success but more importantly, it was an opportunity for CEO Michael Marino and COO David Marino to thank all those who made it possible. They began by acknowledging the hard work, effort and dedication of the 150+ American Global teammates who came from around the globe to celebrate together. Then, with gratitude, humility and a bit of humor, Michael went on to thank carriers and clients for the partnership and support they provided, particularly in the early days of the organization. Truly, none of this would have been possible without their trust and belief in his vision of what American Global could be.

With a final thank you to family and friends, the leaders of American Global turned their thoughts to the future, eagerly looking forward to the next ten years and new opportunities yet to come. To view a video of the speech or see photos from the event, visit: https://bit.ly/AG10yrAnniversary
